    Sorry, I didn’t mean that kind of pain. I was actually referring to the burn you feel while holding a pose. I personally have found what I’ve said to be true. I realize that it does not apply to every one. Some are more flexible than others and some people may have back problems. I admit my comment was a little vague. But I did not, and do not suggest anyone to practice yoga without proper instruction.

    Hi I have hypothyroidism – I was told by my GP around 3 months ago now and it has been extremely hard indeed. As a former figure skater, I have put my body and mind through a lot of stress in the last 18 months, in addition to heavy gym workouts and several stress ‘episodes’. I don’t know what has caused it but my muscles it seems have completely seized up, and I can’t do the workouts I used to. I have stopped stretching and I wondered if this has hindered things?
