    Hi! I was curious …
Hi! I was curious about doing yoga for weightloss, I read some articles online that said yoga won’t help with weightloss unless you do power yoga or you do additional cardio outside of it. Is that true? I’d like to just keep practicing with these since I’m plus sized. I plan on cutting calories too and was just curious about the articles. Thanks for the vids I was sweatin two minutes in hehe :)

    thanks so much for …
thanks so much for this!! I’ve been doing yogatic with Esther Ekhart and I love her, but was also wanting to compliment with something more geared towards weight loss. I’m still quite a bit away from my ideal goal. I lost 40 lbs and hit a rut and thats when i started doing yoga. I’m also trying to improve my health in one way each week. For ex 1st week cut out ALL fast food. Then no food after 8. Then breakfast every morning. etc

    It all depends on …
It all depends on how you eat, how much you weight now, and how hard you work at the yoga. Just do it, eat healthy and aim for 1500-1700 calories a day, drink lots of water [no sugary drinks or diet sodas], and you’ll get the best results possible for you!
    Good luck/have fun.

    Hey there,
You can always put your knees down and practice pressing and reaching with your hands and feet, maybe taking the knees a little off the floor, and work towards it over time.
    Good luck!

    I weigh 125 pounds …
I weigh 125 pounds and I’m 5’8″. You don’t have to be that thin, however, that’s just my body type. Eat well, do lots of yoga, and you’ll be able to do lots of poses at your healthy weight. Remember, these poses were made up of tiny skinny Indian men who practiced 8 hours a day–like Cirque du Soleil. I can’t do them all. So just be in your practice, do what you can, and enjoy the ride.

    Awesome–you need …
Awesome–you need to be able to enjoy your food and your life, and still look great! The key is what you eat now–stick to things your body understands [fresh, not processed], and you won’t store it as fat, unless you eat way too much. Have fun!

Maybe it’s stupid to ask, but what is your weight, sadienardini? I’m just wondering, how mush must your weight be if I I want to be able to do all poses?

  22. PinkBigFan says:

    oh….i nid to eat …
oh….i nid to eat more then!! yayyyyyyyyyyy i love eating…hahahahaha…im really trying to get rid of candies, chocolates…….but i guess i can eat a bit now….weeeeeeeee…. 1500 calories is really enough for me ^_^ ysterday i jst ate twice cuz im scared that i might be fatter…. i thought it will help me reduce weight but im wrong :( ( my metabolism ill be slower if i dont eat enoughhh….

ur an angel!!!! thnx for ur tipsssss MASTER SADIE!!!

    NAMASTE :)

  23. sadienardini says:

    That’s just a myth. …
That’s just a myth…the only way to lose weight is to do the opposite of how you put it on, over time, and by eating less than you burn during the day, You do have to eat more than 1200 calories a day, or your metabolism will slow down and you’ll burn water and muscle, not fat. So I recommend 1500-1800 calories a day for people trying to lose weight, plus 3-4 hours of vigorous yoga per week. That should do it! Good luck,
    Sadie
