Weight Loss Advice for a 15-year-old boy?

Alright everyone, I am a 15-year-old boy, weighing in at about 180 pounds. Not obese or fat really, but overweight nonetheless. I hate it. It gives me social anxiety and as a result I rarely talk to anyone at school. I’ve always put off losing weight because I was too lazy to get off my fat ass, and whenever I did decide to exercise I would always sweat a excessively so I’d get embarrassed and stop immediately.

Well now the time has come where I HAVE to lose weight because I’m in my school’s marching band carrying the heaviest things on the field (tenor drums) and in my current state (fat belly) the drums wobble around and throw my marching off.

I’ve looked at other places for weight loss advice but those programs and diet tips are geared towards adults, meaning the guides auto-assume that you’re capable of joining a gym, buying healthy foods, etc. etc.

So, I’ve come here for help. I need tips/guides/advice on how to lose weight as a 15-year-old.

Remember: Joining a gym or anything similar is out of the question, I lack the funding and transportation. I can try to convince my mom to buy healthier foods, but those are often more expensive and my mom is somewhat of a penny-pincher.

Also, I am completely against Bulemia/Anorexia/The Like. I won’t do that kind of crap.

So please, tips/links/advice/guides of any kind would be helpful.

Thank You

Well just being and band should help out, but you could also maybe run in your neighborhood or ride a bike. You can also try push ups and crunches. Also if you are really serious about this take it one step at a time. Make one change at a time. Yes I realize that is slow and takes awhile but you have to start some where.

Try the Paleolithic diet. And if your mom doesn’t want to spend the money on healthy foods, ask her if she would rather see you get fat and die. That might wake her up.

Okay, first .. DONT TRY TO STARVE YOUR SELF!
Try to stay away from the junk food and soda!
Instead replace them with fruits & water!
Eating more healthier is a goooooooooddd way to diet.
Instead fo eating 3 big meals a day, try eating 4-5 small meals a day.
Then, write a daily work out routine. For example : 50 push ups, 100 jumping jacks, 50 sit ups a day .
If you want to lose weigh fast , try walking 4-5 miles a day or run a mile for at least 3 days in a week.

Well, I’m a lazy fifteen year old myself.. so I’m not sure how much help I can be, but if you try walking every morning and night, doing some sort of physical activity during commercials, and cutting out junk food and soda, I think you could lose some extra weight.
    Good luck (:

Ok first thing cut back on food.like since your a boy have about 3 meals and 1-3 snacks a day.LOOK AT CALORIES,have meals that are between 200-700 calories.(One 700 meal) and have 25-200 calorie snacks.try eat less amounts of food that’s all I really did.example:ok u have spaghetti for dinner, instead of having a twinkie or something like that have a fudgebar (any brand is good espically great value and weight watchers)or an apple chips (like look at the portion size eat 150 calories at most).also try eating fish.that’s awesome for you.and instead of having soda have water, orange juice (for breakfast),vitamin water zero calories and if you still want soda have the diet ones.btw there is excercises that are fun.dancing jumping and spinning with music.anyway also if you like crackers try geting wheat thins garlic herb with laughing cow original light swiss cheese.and if you love smoothies try making those and granola bars are also a great breakfast hope I helped!
