    Your pace (either …
Your pace (either walking or jogging) will be determined by your fitness level. And your fitness level will determine if you’re taking in enough oxygen while exercising. If you’re taking in enouigh oxygen you’ll burn mostly fat with a few carbs. BUT if you’re out of breath, the opposite will occur. This is why you want to do cardio (regardless of what it is) that gets you working, breathing deeply but doesn’t leave you out of breath.

    So does this mean …
So does this mean that even if you switch from fast-walking to jogging/running, after a while when all your carbs are gone, you can start burning fat(converted into carbs) again? When does this conversion of fat to carbs happen?

    Thank you! Actually …
Thank you! Actually, when I relaunch my site (April) in an effort to not have to personal train any more I’m going to start charging $20 a month to members to have all their questions answered with audio files. And then I will no longer be answering questions on You Tube.

I gotta hand it to ya Steve. You’re the most valuble source of weight-loss/ muscle-gain info on the internet. I am constanty sourcing more and more info from ur videos to motovate and educate me during my personal body transformation. You never ask for money, you don’t try to sell anything and you tell it like it is ( which is often a “cold reality.”)
I’m now well on my way to success thx to you.
    Keep it up Steve!

    Glycogen is …
Glycogen is synthesized and stored mainly in the liver and the muscles.

  6. strokethesheep says:

    Addtionally ” …
Addtionally “belenbethelhem” is correct. Glycogen is a storage polysaccharide found in skeletal muscle and the liver. Glucose is transported in the blood to these organs and then converted via glycogen synthase to glycogen for storage…it doesn’t take a bus…

  7. strokethesheep says:

    I dont know where …
I dont know where you got that fat is converted into sugar in the body because thats absolute nonsense. We do not have enzymes or metabolic pathways which do this. Fat when broken down is converted into acetyl coA, which can’t be used in the liver for gluconeogenesis ( or glucose production), however acetyl coA can enter the krebs cycle and thus produce much ATP for energy, thats the purpose or burning fat…not increasing blood sugar.

And it gets to the muscle by….taking a bus?

    Fatty acids can’t …
Fatty acids can’t be converted to glucose. However, glycerol, the molecule that binds fatty acids into triglyceride, can be converted to glucose. But the amount of triglycerides and by extension glycerol we’d need to provide our glucose needs far surpass the amount we can get from either diet or stored fat even combined.
