Exercises to do with a gym membership to lose fat?
I just got a gym membership to a decent sized gym. I am starting a new diet from now until next year and I am trying to lose body fat and weight. What are some good things to do. I know cardio but like what kinds, (Bikes, Treadmill, Eliptical…) Also please include any tips to do over the summer because I am going on vacation and its pretty hard to eat healthy.

If you want to burn fat you can use any piece of cardio gym equipment (treadmill, cross-trainer, etc), and you should work at a low intensity for about 20mins+, but it depends on your current fitness levels.
To work at the right intensity for you to burn fat do the following:
220 - your age = maximum heart rate
You should then calculate your resting heart rate (by putting your middle and index finger over your wrist and counting the beats per minute whilst you have been lying still for a minute or so).
Then calculate your maximum heart rate - your resting heart rate.
Work out 60% of this value.
Add this value to your resting heart rate, and that is how many beats per minute you should be training at.
All of the cardio equipment at your gym should have sensors, so when you hold on it gives you a reading of how many beats per minute your heart is working at.
If you want to use other pieces of equipment such as weights, you should use light loads and do more repetitions, otherwise the fat will turn to muscle.
Hope that helps a bit
