LOSE WEIGHT!?!??!???????????

i calculated my basal metabolic rate, BMR its called, with the online calculators and formulas they provided, and the approximate number that i got from all the calculations online is around 1300 +/-

That’s rather low… and im trying to lose ALOT of weight. Im not overweight, but i would like to be thinner. I was hoping to lose around 5 to 7kg in the shortest time possible. And the fact that i seldom exercise makes the matter worse. I’ve been able to drop my weight previously, but as soon as i started eating a little bit, i gained back all my weight again.

(SERIOUSLY, IT WAS MAD!!! Last year holidays, i dropped 4kg after dieting for like, eternity, mostly by eating a tub of 48kcal yoghurt for breakfast, lemon juice dressing salads and fruits for lunch and a 90kcal alpen light granolar bar for dinner, and after that, i went back to eating normally and by ‘normally’ i mean eating 3 full meals a day, does not consist of any fried food, sweets, sugary liquids and not much meat, NO milk NO cheese, and reduced my exercise from running 1.2km every alternate day to only cycling once every week, and the devastating fact was that i was gaining 0.5kg everyday.) So all my efforts went down the drain in less than a week. MY GAWD.

so now im trying to diet again, and i am trying to increase my metabolic rate. and the fact that my bmr is low is making me feel helpless. i sleep less than 6 hours a day due to studies and stuff, and therefore have no time to do any form of exercise.

I have to consume less than 1200 kcals aday in order to lose weight at all. i dunno why. or maybe the weight drops too slowly for me to notice any change.

I need to lose ateast 3-7 pounds. My legs are getting bigger & my stomach is getting bigger too. I wanna lose weight as soon as possible so i could wear shorts again in the summer. My mother says im gaining weight & is already overweight for my hieght.. im atleast 4′10 & last time i checked my weight i was about 95.3 pounds but i probably gained some so far.. i havent checked my weight in about 3 months.

1. First start by getting up earlier than usual. Around 5:30 AM to do some of you workouts. Getting up early shocks your metabolism because the body needs more energy to get going. Right? This will start your system on the road to weight loss. That early start with about 10 minutes of stretching. Have a cup of coffee to get the blood going also.

2. Do all the sit-ups you can. Just do them. 15 or 20 whatever, we don’t have a lot of time to work with. Rest 1 minute repeat, do this for 6 sets. Already you are breathing hard and feel worn, because the body is working extra hard at being up earlier and then going right into exercise. If the early morning hour lets you get your cardio in, go ahead and do it. 30 minutes.

3. Diet. Cut all current meal portions in half, just cut them in half, nothing fancy or complicated, CUT IN HALF! Cut out all bread products, all gravies, candies, chips, night snacks, etc. If you crave at night eat a banana, other fruit or best a non-fat yogurt. There are some tasty ones out there.

4. In the evening do another 6 sets of sit-ups maxing out each set. Cardio again. The trick is to stay with getting up earlier. Yes it’s hard, that’s why it is so effective. Why do you think the Army gets up so early, it is intense training to the max.

how do i lose the fat in my thighs and arms? i have a perfect body and everything but i want to lose my fat thighs, arms. seriously…i have a pool party with my boyfriend in about a month and if he sees me all fat and ugly he’ll get shocked. help please! (i tried to keep the details short so i can get more answers ;-) lol thanks for the good answers though)

I don’t know if you can just loses inches from a specific spot. Usually they come off everywhere.

Is it possible to lose 10-13lbs for the summer without losing my period and mainaing my weight after?/ I’m 5”2 and a half and 126lbs, am I over weight?
I know that everyone has their own set weight goal blah blah blah, but do you think thta it is heavy? Becasue I do, but no one believes me.

That is NOT heavy. Also, if you really work hard you could possibly lose that weight. But you honestly dont need to.

I want to lose weight from my thighs but is there anyway I can lose weight there without getting a small butt?

You cannot target a certain spot on your body to reduce fat. Whatever you do for exercise, it will burn the fat in equal percentage all over your body. To answer in a way you like, would be to actually to squats, this will burn fat (allover) AND build muscle in your butt and hamstrings quadriceps which in turn will even burn more fat, but with a great looking butt! :-)

I already have smallish boobs, and I don’t want to lose what little I have!

I plan on losing 10-15 pounds. Is there a way I can prevent the boob shrinkage that comes with weight loss, haha?

How much weight can I lose before being underweight?

I am 5′2 1/2, and around 95 lbs. My upper body stays small no matter how much weight I gain (I never gain any in my stomach or ribcage area), but my legs are pretty disproportional to the rest of my body, and it makes it hard to find jeans with a small waist and bigger legs.
My question is what should my weight goal be?
I know I want to lose weight in my legs, but how much can I lose without being unhealthy?

As for the BMI check, whether or not 17.4 is "underweight" or not depends on your age. If you’re an adult, yes, but if your 20 or under, no, it’s different, and it goes by percentiles more than BMI. BMI’s are only rough indicators, anyways; they don’t work in your REAL fat/muscle mass, body shape, etc… If you’re 20 or younger, find a children’s BMI calculator to use.

I think you shouldn’t worry as much about your weight as in toning your legs. Perhaps take up jogging/running or some other leg-focused sport? Soccer, competitive cheerleading, and figure skating come to mind, but for the figure skating you’d have to be serious (and it’s expensive!), you may not be able to join/find a soccer team, and competitive cheer…well…depends on your area, but there isn’t a whole ton of it out there. The U.S. is basically the only country that HAS cheerleading/competitive cheer. Be careful with "leg sports" though; some of them make your legs get BIGGER because of the muscle mass. You want lean muscle, not bulky muscle. Have you ever noticed how most figure skaters have big thighs? We have issues finding jeans sometimes too. ;) Same idea with soccer players, and maybe even competitive cheerleaders. Joggers/runners tend to have lots of lean muscle, and it’s the most convenient for you, most likely, so why not take up that? ;)

I’m a teenager and I think I need to lose body fat in my thys and stomach. The only problem is, I’m a teenager and I can’t take medicane and I don’t want to. What are some good tips for me losing weight? How much exercise do I need weekly to lose fat?
